Are you an armed or unarmed security officer, working at a commercial establishment in Tennessee, that serves on-premises consumption from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission or a Beer Board? Here is how to achieve state compliance entering 2023.

In response to Dallas "DJ" Barrett's death in 2021, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed the bill known as "Dallas Law" on June 1, 2022. Dallas Law is a new legislation taking full effect on January 1, 2023.

The additional training requirements from this new bill include de-escalation techniques, safe restraint techniques, first aid, and CPR. Once in full effect, disciplinary authority to the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission and local Beer Boards will come to light regarding violations of unregistered or improperly registered security guards. Armed and unarmed security officers across the state are avidly seeking the requisite compliance training in the ending months of 2022 and notably doing so through the top security school of choice in Tennessee, Alliance Training and Testing.
